About Amy
Therapy: My mission is to help couples who thought it may be hopeless to feel some hope again. I want to build from the light the couple sees at the end of the tunnel. I want to help couples to embrace that light and carry it through in their day-to-day lives. I want couples I work with to remember the light.
Hello! I’m Amy Smith. What I love most is working with couples. When I provide therapy it’s about helping couples unlock their instinctual power to heal themselves and renew their relationship with new tools, and fresh perspectives.
A fresh pair of eyes can remind a couple why they work or don’t work well together and to use the strengths they already have to solve problems, heal wounds, build trust, and make good decisions about their relationships and families.
I did marriage the hard way for the first twenty years. I’ve learned so much firsthand about the right way. I’ve learned growing in marriage also means growing and knowing your own self. I figured out there were layers of denial. I couldn’t see my contribution to the problem. I projected.
After going to therapy myself I realized just how deep projections can go and was shocked to uncover the depths of denial that kept me stuck for YEARS.
I have an MSW from OU. I’ve been in the mental health field for twenty years.
Take the first step.
As a women’s recovery wellness coach, my mission is to guide women in recovery to make sense of and re-frame her stories and take the rightful position as the wildly confident woman she already is.
I’m a wife and mother with three children. Being a therapist and coach has led me down a path of entrepreneurship I love. Connecting and collaborating with women for change makes me feel alive.
I’m talking to my hard-working ladies and mamas out there who are busting out their best in this world working, parenting, slepping, serving, cleaning, wiping, and dusting themselves off for the daily grind thinking when will things change?
I’m talking to my like minded high vibing, driven, determined tribe of women who are attracted to and desire to heal, and live a life in recovery from food, sugar, nicotine, body image, divorce, drugs, alcohol, boundaries, over working, co-dependency in relationships, smoking, sexual trauma, cancer, or isolation.
“ Whenever I compare myself to others I simply say this prayer: ‘The light I see in them is a reflection of the light I see in me.’ ”
—Gabrielle Bernstein—
